Estate profile /

This batch comes from Eden Estate located in Quindio!

There are many famous triangles in the world, such as Golden Triangle, Bermuda Triangle, etc., but in the eyes of experienced coffee people, the triangular area formed by Quindio, Caldas, and Risaralda is the golden area of Colombian coffee. It is the Coffee Triangle (Coffee Triagnle), and the locals call it Eji Caftero (the axis of coffee producers). The Arcila family is the fourth generation of coffee growers passed down to Felipe and Carlos, and Luz Helena is their mother. Before Felipe and Carlos, their family was engaged in traditional Colombian coffee production. After we got to know Felipe and Carlos, we flew to Colombia and visited their hometown and manor in Armenia, witnessing the transformation of the family industry process. During the period, we also visited the Dry Mill where their father was the factory manager. It is a processing plant with huge machinery and tools, with a daily production capacity of several cabinets.

Flipe and Carlos have been influenced by what they have seen and heard, and they are passionate about the coffee industry, but they are moving in a completely different direction. This batch is the batch they cooperated with their mother and they are at the forefront of the times. This batch is a brand new experimental batch that completely subverts the traditional thinking.

The characteristic of this batch is that at the fruit stage, the whole fruit is first subjected to anaerobic fermentation for 72 hours. During this fermentation stage, grapes and Saccharomyces cerevisiae are added to drive different reactions and bring out different flavors. After the fermentation is over , then use the sun-dried raised bed frames that are relatively rare in Colombia due to climatic factors.
